Job Description

Commercial Deal Structuring Lead pricing large power and data center capacity deals for Fermi's energy platform. Structuring negotiations, financial models, and project finance transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end deal structuring for large power and data center capacity transactions from initial economics through structure, pricing, and close
  • Build and maintain financial models underpinning deal pricing, including DCF, IRR, and NPV models
  • Model natural gas, nuclear, and renewable generation economics as well as data center capacity
  • Partner directly with sales and business development leaders in live customer negotiations
  • Structure power purchase agreements, capacity agreements, tax equity structures, lease / sale-leaseback transactions, and other structured or project finance mechanisms
  • Lead diligence and investment-review cadence for major commercial commitments
  • Present recommendations to executive leadership
  • Build reporting and KPI dashboards tracking deal pipeline economics and portfolio-level returns
  • Connect Commercial, Site Development, Power, Construction, Capital Markets, and Legal teams
  • Help build the commercial team's structuring playbook and processes as Fermi scales

Requirements:

  • 6+ years in financial modeling, deal structuring, or capital markets within energy, infrastructure, data centers, telecom, or another capital-intensive sector
  • Track record of translating financial models into negotiated deal structures
  • Fluency in DCF / IRR / NPV modeling
  • Working knowledge of structured finance concepts, including tax equity, ABS, and project finance
  • Direct experience partnering with sales, business development, or commercial leaders on live, customer-facing deals
  • Experience presenting financial and commercial recommendations to executive leadership or an investment committee
  • Comfort operating in an early-stage, high-growth environment with limited support infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • CFA (in progress or complete) is a plus, not required
