Job Description
Director of Inventory Management at Altium Packaging responsible for corporate inventory control and management policies. Coordinating warehouse processes and optimizing inventory operations across production sites.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing and enforcing corporate inventory control and management policies
- Coordinate with the Customer Experience Planning team for inventory management
- Ensure facilities have sufficient warehouse space and optimized layouts
- Optimize inventory control processes and reduce slow-moving/obsolete inventory
- Define and document warehouse operating systems and process standards
- Create implementation plans for Warehouse Management Systems
- Support projects related to production and/or warehouse automation
- Develop monthly key performance indicators (KPI’s) for warehouse operations
- Provide training and trouble-shoot support for inventory and warehouse processes
- Lead continuous improvement and cost savings projects related to inventory management
- Participate in all trainings and adhere to safety procedures
Requirements:
- Certification or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, Business, or other related field
- Three to five years of work experience related to inventory management activities
- Five to eight years of work experience related to warehouse management activities
- Experience with supporting or implementing process improvements
- Certification or work experience with Lean or Six Sigma principles
- Experience with deploying continuous improvement projects to cross-functional teams
