Job Description
IT relationship leader driving digital strategy across Barnes Aerospace’s North American manufacturing plants. Translating operational priorities into measurable technology outcomes across ERP, cybersecurity, data, and AI.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary IT relationship leader for North America
- Directly support General Managers across 8–10 manufacturing plants
- Partner with plant leadership and regional functions to understand safety, quality, delivery, cost, growth, and compliance priorities
- Translate business needs into IT demand, roadmaps, priorities, business cases, and execution plans aligned to digital strategy
- Drive results through Enterprise Systems, Infrastructure & Operations, Cyber Security, Data & Analytics, and AI & Automation teams
- Lead and coordinate issue escalation, service performance, project delivery, adoption, and change readiness across sites and functions
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing operations through ERP, MES, data, automation, and secure infrastructure capabilities
- Communicate status, risks, benefits, and trade-offs to General Managers, regional leaders, and IT leadership
- Measure value realization and business outcomes from digital initiatives
- Continuously improve the regional IT engagement model
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
- Manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial operations experience preferred
- Strong applied AI acumen
- Ability to leverage generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Codex, and similar platforms
- Advanced prompting techniques
- Strong understanding of manufacturing IT, ERP, MES, quality systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data/analytics, and enterprise applications
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with General Managers and senior functional leaders
- Proven success operating in a matrix organization and influencing without direct authority
- Experience delivering through shared tower teams
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, and change adoption skills
- Experience supporting multi-site plants and translating operational needs into practical, measurable IT outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Master's degree or MBA preferred
- ITIL, PMP, SCRUM, PRINCE2, Supply Chain, Planning, and manufacturing systems certifications a plus
- For roles involving controlled information or technology, documentation may be required to assess U.S. export-control licensing needs
