Job Description
Finance executive rebuilding finance, controls, and reporting for a multi-location food-service business. Driving profitability, forecasting, cash management, and commercial decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the complete finance function through a hands-on transition
- Build accurate, controlled financial reporting and protect cash and payroll
- Own budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash planning
- Make profitability visible by location, brand, channel, and product
- Evaluate pricing, promotions, and investment decisions with real business cases
- Redesign the finance team's structure, systems, and controls
- Eventually build a successor
- Take over the finance function and turn finance into a real-time engine for business decisions
- Option to stay embedded, build a successor, or expand into wider work across the portfolio once operations are stable
Requirements:
- Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally at CFO level
- A track record improving profitability, forecasting, and cash management
- Strong commercial instincts — pricing, unit economics, investment analysis
- Advanced, hands-on use of AI and modern finance tools
- Professional finance/accounting qualification strongly preferred
- Experience inside a complex, multi-location hospitality, retail, or restaurant business
- Client-facing advisory or consulting experience
- History of challenging executives with hard evidence, not just opinions
