Job Description
Director of Sales focused on expanding private sector sales for waste management software solutions. Leading a sales team and establishing processes in the Private Hauling sector to drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive new business and expand relationships.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, promoting pipeline growth and deal continuance.
- Establish and refine sales processes tailored to the Private Hauling sector, focusing on prospecting, lead qualification, and contract negotiations.
- Drive outbound sales efforts, leveraging phone, email, and in-person meetings to engage decision-makers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics, optimizing strategies to improve conversion rates and revenue.
- Stay informed on industry trends, funding sources, and government procurement processes to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment on messaging, lead generation, and customer needs.
- Own revenue targets within the Private Hauling segment, providing strategic guidance to meet and exceed goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior sales role focused on private sector sales.
- Deep understanding of municipal procurement processes, budgeting cycles, and decision-making structures.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and grow a sales team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Data-driven mindset, leveraging analytics to optimize sales performance and strategy.
