Job Description
Director of Program Design leading Kambo's efforts in equitable energy access through community-led models. Managing proposals and program design for funding opportunities and collaborations.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the VP, Growth Operations, the Director, Program Design shapes how Kambo pursues and wins work with communities, utilities and governments.
- Focuses on the front end of opportunity development, working across proposals and RFPs to translate funding and policy requirements into high-impact, equity-centered programs.
- Prioritize and manage proposals across all Kambo divisions from initial screening through to the submission phase.
- Provide guidance throughout the execution process.
- Act as the liaison between Kambo and funders to manage proposal details.
- Develop competitive, accurate project budgets and pricing strategy alongside program and finance teams.
Requirements:
- 5–10+ years of experience in program design or similar roles.
- Demonstrated ability managing RFPs and ownership of related processes.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Experience working with governments, utilities, nonprofits, or regulated sectors.
- Strong experience working cross-functionally and navigating multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organization, and judgment.
- Collaborative, hands-on, and comfortable in evolving environments.
