Job Description

Fundraising strategy director advancing Medical Teams International’s global health mission. Leading donor operations, revenue growth, campaigns, analytics, and philanthropy teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic initiatives from concept through implementation and realization of outcomes
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Fundraising Operations team
  • Develop and implement multi-year fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Establish annual fundraising targets, budgets, and performance metrics with the VP, Philanthropy
  • Identify revenue diversification opportunities across major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundations, grants, planned giving, and annual campaigns
  • Oversee fundraising operations, systems, processes, reporting, donor data management, gift processing, and compliance
  • Lead CRM strategy, optimization, data governance, and fundraising tool integration
  • Establish OKRs and dashboards to measure fundraising effectiveness
  • Analyze fundraising data, donor trends, and campaign performance
  • Develop forecasting models and revenue projections
  • Provide reports and insights to executive leadership and board committees
  • Lead campaign planning and execution across annual, capital, planned, principal, major, mid-level, and special initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications
  • Lead, mentor, recruit, develop, and retain fundraising operations and support staff
  • Prepare strategic reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership and board committees
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, nonprofit reporting requirements, data privacy, gift acceptance policies, and donor confidentiality practices
  • Promote safeguarding and uphold protection and harassment-free workplace policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Philanthropy, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Valid Driver License
  • 10+ years of progressive nonprofit fundraising and development experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing fundraising operations, strategy, or development teams
  • Demonstrated success leading fundraising initiatives generating significant annual revenue growth
  • Strong expertise in donor databases/CRM platforms, fundraising analytics, and performance reporting
  • Experience working with executive leadership, boards of directors, and major donors
  • Excellent strategic planning, project management, and organizational skills
  • Proven experience leading teams through change management and integrating and adapting to new systems
  • Intermediate (or higher) user skills with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Teams
  • Intermediate (or higher) user skills with CRM Microsoft Dynamics
  • Intermediate (or higher) experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Ability to work flexible schedule with some evening and weekends as needed
  • Ability and willingness to travel to departmental and organizational meetings as needed
  • Background checks, police clearance, and professional reference checks
