Job Description
Novartis immunology market access director shaping US strategies for innovative medicines. Developing access plans, forecasts, budgets, and commercialization research across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the key market access contact for US Integrated Product Strategy Teams and represent Market Access in product/platform meetings
- Design, develop, and execute integrated 3- to 5-year strategic access plans
- Integrate short- and long-term access strategies and tactics into annual product planning
- Coordinate with Patient Support, Marketing, and Customer Engagement organizations to execute market access strategies
- Partner with Payer, Pricing, and Channel Strategy to ensure accurate annual forecasts
- Present US market access strategies to Executive Leadership and keep the US Leadership Team informed of opportunities and challenges
- Partner with brand and Market Access teams to secure annual budgets and align tactical plans
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Brand, and Marketing teams to implement compliant tactics
- Manage the NVS Material Approval Process, FUSE platform, pharma/FDA marketing policy compliance, and vendor payment systems
- Oversee critical qualitative and quantitative market research and determine go-to-market principles
- Manage multiple budgets and deliverables, organize project read-outs, maintain cross-functional alignment, and control spending
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA, Health Policy, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical experience in Marketing/Sales, Market Access, or Managed Care Finance
- Thorough understanding of US healthcare dynamics and pharmaceutical value drivers
- Familiarity with the pharmacy benefit and specialty landscape
- Commercial pharmaceutical success and a track record of execution and results
- Ability to recognize complex relationships and market dynamics and synthesize clear, effective communications
- Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing, and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate successfully across a matrix organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with interdependent findings and deadlines
- Ability to engage diverse groups across product, marketing, and customer experience
- Ability to implement programs that improve business results in a timely manner and adapt to environmental changes
- Buy-and-bill experience desirable
- Immunology therapeutic area experience desirable
