Job Description
Remote District Business Manager leading J&J Vision’s Western U.S. surgical eye-care sales district. Managing sales teams, cataract and refractive portfolios, quotas, budgets, and business strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the US Cataract and Refractive franchise for AMO within the assigned district geography
- Lead a complex team of Account Executives, Capital Sales Specialists, Premium Practice Specialists, and Key Account Executives, with dotted-line oversight of Laser and Refractive Laser Specialists
- Hire, train, and retain a high-caliber sales team
- Achieve and maintain quota while advancing J&J Vision goals and initiatives
- Coordinate specialist efforts to achieve common goals and objectives
- Develop innovative approaches to the business and share ideas with peers and J&J Surgical Vision leadership
- Attain quota across Capital and Consumables, including Phaco, Femto, Refractive, Refractive IOLs, and Procedural Consumables
- Performance-manage team members to optimize sales output, team performance, team synergy, and individual development
- Manage the assigned annual budget and ensure compliance with corporate goals, policies, and procedures
- Maintain thorough knowledge of cataract surgery and the portfolio of cataract products, including Veritas, Signature Pro, Intuitiv, Catalys, TECNIS IOLs, and Healon
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent is required, or United States Armed Forces Veterans with military experience at the E6 pay grade or greater
- Minimum of 5 years relevant business experience is required, paired with proven leadership capabilities, or a minimum of two years United States Armed Forces military experience
- Proven ability to consistently meet and attain quota
- Valid driver's license issued in the United States is required
- Knowledge of Capital and Consumable selling cycles and processes is preferred
- Experience working in an Operating Room and familiarity with OR etiquette is preferred
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Surgical Cataract Business, including IOLs, OVD, and Phaco, is strongly preferred
- Prior experience selling Consumable products is preferred
- Ophthalmology sales experience is highly preferred
- Up to 60% travel required, which may include overnight and/or weekends
