Job Description
Electrical Service Center Manager leading residential solar electrical teams, troubleshooting, inspections, and corrective work. Improving field quality, safety, compliance, and operational performance for SpartanX.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day ESC electrical operations across assigned markets
- Lead, support, and hold ESC Electricians and electrical support personnel accountable for performance
- Coordinate field coverage, workloads, priorities, and manpower needs
- Ensure electrical service and corrective work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently
- Provide technical guidance for complex electrical troubleshooting and field issues
- Support service calls, electrical corrections, inspection deficiencies, and post-installation issues
- Assist teams with main panel upgrades, equipment replacements, system corrections, and other residential electrical work
- Monitor open electrical work and proactively address issues affecting completion timelines
- Ensure electrical work complies with applicable NEC, state, and local requirements
- Review field work for quality, completeness, and code compliance
- Identify recurring electrical deficiencies and implement corrective actions
- Conduct or coordinate quality-control reviews and field audits
- Ensure projects are properly prepared for electrical inspections
- Work with AHJs and inspectors to resolve electrical deficiencies when necessary
- Maintain strong safety standards across ESC field operations
- Partner with ESC Scheduling to prioritize and assign electrical work
- Coordinate with Service, Inspections, Install, Permitting, Construction Operations, and other departments to resolve project issues
- Monitor technician productivity, job completion, documentation, and field performance
- Coach and develop electricians and electrical support personnel
- Identify training needs and strengthen technical capabilities across the team
- Ensure field documentation, photographs, notes, and completion records are accurate and timely
- Escalate significant operational, safety, or compliance concerns to leadership
Requirements:
- Strong residential electrical experience
- Previous experience leading electricians, service technicians, or electrical field teams
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Thorough understanding of NEC requirements and electrical inspection processes
- Experience diagnosing and resolving complex electrical issues
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and one-line diagrams
- Strong field leadership and team-development skills
- Ability to manage multiple technicians, projects, and priorities simultaneously
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple operational departments
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred
- Residential solar electrical experience preferred
- Electrical service or corrective-work leadership experience preferred
- Experience with main panel upgrades and residential service equipment preferred
- Experience with battery storage systems preferred
- Experience supporting operations across multiple markets preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- NABCEP certification preferred
- Primarily Monday–Friday availability, with occasional Saturday and after-hours availability based on operational needs
