Job Description
Freelance attorney representing and defending the company in California employment litigation. Advising on employment law, legal strategy, court filings, hearings, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the company in employment litigation matters
- Develop legal strategies to protect the company's interests
- Provide legal counsel on employment-related issues
- Prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, and other court filings
- Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and court proceedings as required
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess legal risks and recommend practical solutions
- Ensure compliance with California employment laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Active member in good standing with the California Bar
- Proven experience representing and defending employers in employment litigation
- Strong knowledge of California employment law
- Excellent litigation, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to appear in California courts as needed
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
