Job Description
M&A engineer integrating acquired companies into ABACUS’s Microsoft cloud environment. Migrating Microsoft 365 tenants, identities, storage, and communication tools with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Unify newly acquired companies into the core Abacus technical environment.
- Execute tenant-to-tenant Microsoft 365 and Exchange migrations.
- Consolidate user mailboxes, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, and Microsoft Teams setups.
- Migrate SharePoint sites, OneDrive storage, and legacy cloud/on-premise file shares into central data structures.
- Ensure data integrity, permissions, and access controls remain intact after migration.
- Support hosted services, endpoint environments, and end-user experience during the initial team formation.
- Focus on automation, standardization, and security posture while services transition to another team.
- Prepare incoming teams for changes, set expectations, and guide them through Day 1.
- Perform scheduled evening and weekend work during migration windows to minimize business downtime.
Requirements:
- Cloud: Microsoft Azure
- Office 365
- SSO
- Application & Desktop Delivery: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix NetScaler (ADC)
- VMware, virtualization
- Enterprise storage (nice to have)
- Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux
- DNS & DHCP (nice to have)
- Availability to work East coast hours with some nights/weekends
- Demonstrated ability to analyze root causes and implement long-term solutions.
- Ability to perform under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-starter with strong ownership, able to work independently while collaborating when needed
