Job Description

Enterprise Account Executive launching Neara’s electrical modeling module for US electric utilities. Owning territory strategy, complex sales cycles, partnerships, and go-to-market execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the US go-to-market for Neara's electrical modelling module
  • Lead industry development, business development, and pipeline activities for the segment
  • Build and execute territory and account strategy
  • Segment the market, prioritize utilities, and secure initial reference accounts
  • Run the full sales cycle from outbound research through technical evaluation, procurement, and close
  • Navigate stakeholders across distribution planning, operations, GIS, asset management, engineering, IT, and enterprise architecture
  • Develop the commercial narrative and integration story for a product complementing incumbent systems
  • Partner with the Head of Product and CTO to provide market, value, and product-market-fit feedback
  • Cross-sell into existing utility accounts with Enterprise AEs
  • Partner with Marketing on collateral, campaigns, and events
  • Present Neara at conferences and industry events
  • Support pricing, packaging, and contracting decisions
  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory drivers, and customer feedback

Requirements:

  • 5–7+ years in enterprise sales or business development, with substantial experience selling software, systems, or services into US electric utilities
  • Experience selling into or working within large energy utility organisations, including planning, operations, engineering, GIS, asset management, and IT
  • Fluency in utility distribution domain, including electrical network modeling, GIS and ADMS integration, system planning and workflow, hosting capacity, and DER interconnection
  • Track record selling emerging or first-of-kind products
  • Direct experience selling distribution planning or network modelling solutions is a plus
  • Existing network of relevant relationships across US utilities
  • Experience managing complex enterprise deals with long cycles and many stakeholders
  • Ability to translate market and customer signals into clear product input for technical teams
  • Strategic and operational discipline around pipeline, forecasting, and cadence
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, travel, and a high-growth company pace
  • Understanding of modern sales methodologies is a plus
  • Legally authorized to work in the country for which applying; visa sponsorship requirements addressed in application
