Job Description

Enterprise application developer building Click Commerce research software for MCW, an academic medical institution. Designing, testing, deploying, and supporting complex business applications remotely within eligible U.S. payroll states.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business solutions through the full software life cycle
  • Design, develop, test, integrate, deploy, and maintain complex client software applications
  • Design, analyze, code, test, debug, modify, and document moderately complex applications in the Click Commerce Research Extranet application suite
  • Prepare detailed specifications for business application projects and customizations integrated with existing applications
  • Diagnose and resolve business application maintenance and support issues
  • Interact with client and technical teams to define requirements and develop solutions
  • Review new business application designs for consistency with business objectives and technical standards
  • Review and analyze system and server configurations and performance to achieve cost-effective solutions
  • Manage multiple requests and prioritize tasks independently
  • Collaborate with the Office of Research IT Team on plans, processes, timelines, support, and upgrade activities
  • Partner with end-users and technical staff to diagnose and resolve business-process problems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years of minimum required experience
  • Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis
  • Knowledge of computers, electronics, digital media, databases, applications, software development, risk management, and information security
  • Customer support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, problem solving, and listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus on priority tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple requests in a complex product and business environment
  • Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication
  • May occasionally need ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects
  • Ability to occasionally lift moderate-weight materials
  • Ability to stand or walk continuously
  • Ability to work in an environmentally controlled environment with occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, water, or other liquids
