Job Description

Enterprise Solutions Architect designing and implementing infrastructure and enterprise applications for Navitus, a pharmacy benefit manager. Leading strategic IT initiatives, integrations, capacity planning, and technical solutions across corporate systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design, construction, maintenance, and enhancement of Navitus IT infrastructure and application landscape
  • Collaborate with clients, staff, IT colleagues, and stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess technologies, and recommend solution options
  • Administer multiple systems and architect and implement short- and long-term solutions
  • Function as a technical lead for corporate strategic initiatives
  • Research utilization and capacity planning of existing technologies for future growth
  • Collaborate with IT teams on proofs of concept
  • Analyze and design technical solutions for infrastructure and enterprise application projects
  • Act as a subject matter expert on infrastructure and architecture
  • Assist with development and implementation of corporate information system policies and procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of infrastructure operations, data center operations, virtualization, and technology trends
  • Diagnose server-side application, operating system, and networking issues
  • Provide knowledge training to peers
  • Provide after-hours support
  • Participate in capacity planning and long-term strategic systems and software goals
  • Plan operating-system and software upgrades and releases
  • Research and recommend automated system-administration and enterprise-application integration approaches
  • Participate in design, planning, implementation, and coordination for successful integration of new solutions

Requirements:

  • Four-year college or university degree in Information Technology required, and/or a minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in hardware or software installation and support
  • Experience supporting capacity planning and long-term strategic goals for systems and software
  • Experience planning Linux and Windows operating-system and associated-software upgrades/releases
  • Ability to research and recommend automated system-administration and enterprise-application integration approaches
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies, products, languages, and standards
  • Experience designing, planning, implementing, and coordinating integration of new solutions
  • Ability to interview end-users about functionality, interfaces, problems, and usability
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Healthcare industry practices and HIPAA knowledge would be a plus
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • On-call availability
  • Some travel may be required
  • Ability to participate in and support compliance program objectives
  • Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
