Job Description
Environmental Manager overseeing offshore drilling and production activities in South America. Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and managing environmental oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the assessment of environmental statements and oil pollution emergency plans
- Manage the environmental inspection programme for offshore vessels and platforms
- Act as a lead advisor on marine conservation and environmental mitigation strategies
- Liaise with government bodies and environmental agencies to ensure transparency and compliance
- Lead the response to any environmental non-compliance or pollution incidents
Requirements:
- Robust experience in environmental management within the energy or offshore sectors
- Strong understanding of international environmental standards (e.g., ISO 14001) and marine legislation
- Experience in managing teams and overseeing field-based environmental inspectors
- Academic background in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, or a related field
- Ability to analyse complex data and produce clear regulatory reports
