Job Description

Event Travel Manager supporting Navan’s event clients with personalized hotel, flight, car, and rail booking assistance. Coordinating travel programs, client relationships, documentation, and billing across the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide best-in-class personalized travel support to travelers before, during, and after travel
  • Assist with cancellations, changes, and updates to hotel, flight, car, and rail bookings
  • Provide accurate and detailed fare information for hotel, flight, car, and rail bookings
  • Work closely with client contacts to understand and meet program objectives and outcomes
  • Identify clients’ critical success factors for projects
  • Maintain project documentation to ensure contract and documentation policy compliance
  • Troubleshoot issues using agent tools and resolve traveler inquiries
  • Coordinate program planning from post-sale stage through final billing
  • Participate in team meetings covering product launches, industry updates, and team initiatives
  • Improve travel industry and platform knowledge
  • Support the Team Lead
  • Develop relationships across Navan and provide Event Travel market knowledge to support client objectives
  • Maximize Event Travel revenue while ensuring client return on investment

Requirements:

  • One to three years of Group Travel planning experience preferred
  • Professional oral and written communication skills required
  • Navan TravelXen knowledge is preferred with strong understanding of travel bookings
  • Proficient MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Suites skills along with the technical aptitude to learn new technology
  • Client facing video calls for setup and project management required
  • Knowledge of internal communication tools – Slack
  • Ability to multitask with a desire to resolve urgent matters as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • An empathetic disposition with the ability to always maintain a professional attitude
  • Experience and ability to adapt and thrive in a hyper-growth environment
  • 4+ years of GDS experience preferred, including Sabre with PNR building and ticketing; Amadeus and NDC preferred as well
  • An independent thinker who can use available resources to troubleshoot issues and resolve customer inquiries
  • Prior successful experience in developing and maintaining key client and Account Manager/Account Executive relationships
  • Proven record with strong customer service skills and strong CSAT positive outcome
  • Reliable and flexible with an openness to working non-traditional shifts (early mornings, late evenings, and weekends)
  • An interest in travel with a basic understanding of world geography
