Job Description
Executive Director overseeing financial operations and leadership at Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority. Managing a large operating budget and driving affordable housing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority
- Provide strategic leadership and financial oversight
- Manage a $115 million operating budget
- Oversee administrative operations and regulatory compliance
- Champion affordable housing initiatives and spearhead complex urban renewal and real estate development projects
Requirements:
- A Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or closely related field (Bachelor’s degree required)
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive, senior-level executive leadership experience within a Public Housing Authority (PHA), redevelopment agency, or large-scale community development organization
- Deep, verifiable expertise in managing HUD-funded programs, public housing operations, and real estate development frameworks
