Job Description
Remote Field Sales Consultant selling Cengage’s digital and print education products in Minnesota. Managing territory growth, sales goals, forecasts, and customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in sales call activities with prospective customers to explore and present digital and print product solutions
- Meet or exceed annual sales goals
- Create and implement strategic territory and business plans
- Drive new business to foster growth within the territory
- Provide accurate forecasts and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data
- Participate in territory network-building opportunities, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching and education sales experience, preferably in the publishing industry
- Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement performance
- Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills
- Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions
- Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with current and prospective customers, internal business partners, colleagues, and management
- Documented territory management and organizational skills
- Strong competency in business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unaided
- Ability to transport materials to customer locations
- Sales experience with exceptional knowledge of digital information delivery, education, or the informational technology industry (preferred)
