Job Description

Field Sales Engineer selling ASSA ABLOY electromechanical and electronic access-control solutions across North Texas. Training integrators, supporting installations, and growing territory sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Support local territory efforts to promote and sell ASSA ABLOY electromechanical and electronic access control products and solutions
  • Serve as the territory subject-matter expert for applications, technology, installation, and deployment of EM and EAC products, systems, and solutions
  • Certify integrators’ sales, installation, and support capabilities through hands-on product training and ongoing assessments
  • Train and support channel partners, influencers, and internal personnel
  • Facilitate product test-bed deployments at certified integrator facilities
  • Coordinate trial installations at selected end-user locations
  • Support initial installations with live integration into EAC systems
  • Collaborate with the team to develop plans for increasing territory sales
  • Develop wiring diagrams and represent ASSA ABLOY in installation meetings
  • Conduct site surveys and audits with integrators
  • Check implemented solutions
  • Strategize with the team to win the highest overall product content
  • Troubleshoot EM and EAC product-related issues, preferably in collaboration with integrators

Requirements:

  • College/University degree preferred, with related specializations such as architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar, or minimum high school/GED diploma with commensurate work experience
  • Minimum 2–3 years of industry-related field sales experience with EM/EAC/EMAC products and systems recommended
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting
  • Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in selling door opening solutions
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and strong follow-up habits
  • Ability to manage time and projects proficiently
  • Strong communication, active listening, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to read and understand specifications and facility standards
  • Industry-related technical and sales aptitude
  • Ability to travel and meet customer requirements
  • Ability to work in a home office environment or while traveling
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material
  • Must be able to work in North Texas / Dallas, Texas area
