Job Description
Finance Site Liaison Manager leading healthcare accounting, close, controls, and overhead-ledger operations at Lifepoint Health. Managing finance staff and partnering across its community healthcare network.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Site Liaison Finance team through direction, coaching, workload management, and oversight
- Serve as a hands-on working manager by preparing journal entries and reviewing team work
- Own accounting and financial management of the overhead ledger
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet activity, financial results, and supporting documentation
- Perform and oversee P&L and balance sheet analysis and investigate variances
- Ensure internal controls and accounting processes support accurate and compliant reporting
- Partner with Finance leadership, Technical Accounting, operations, and stakeholders to resolve complex accounting matters
- Drive accounting process improvements and standardization
- Provide leadership and accounting expertise in a shared-services environment
- Establish team expectations and accountability while supporting close and reporting deadlines
- Support budgeting, forecasting, audit, and other financial reporting activities
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant accounting leadership experience within a healthcare environment
- Recent experience at a Controller, Assistant Controller, Finance Director, Assistant CFO, or comparable healthcare finance leadership level strongly preferred
- Demonstrated healthcare accounting experience; hospital or health system experience strongly preferred
- Strong general ledger and month-end close expertise, including journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliations, balance sheet management, financial analysis, and internal controls
- Ability and willingness to operate as a working manager while leading and developing a team
- Prior experience managing, coaching, and reviewing accounting professionals
- Experience within a shared services or centralized finance environment preferred
- Behavioral health accounting or finance experience preferred
- Ability to analyze complex financial activity, identify issues, and drive timely resolution
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting process governance
- Ability to partner effectively with senior Finance and operational leaders
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Oracle, EPM, or comparable enterprise financial systems preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
