Job Description
Lead financial planning and performance management for Tilt's Mexico business. Collaborate with leadership to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Mexico financial plan: annual budget, quarterly updates, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning across all business lines.
- Define and track the KPIs that connect financial outcomes to operational execution.
- Develop scalable reporting frameworks and dashboards that give country and company leadership real-time visibility into business health and emerging risks.
- Analyze portfolio, credit, and customer performance trends to identify opportunities to improve unit economics, growth, and risk outcomes.
- Support capital markets initiatives and strategic transactions as needed.
- Structure ambiguous, high-priority problems — form a clear point of view and drive execution through to resolution.
- Set strategic priorities: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and data analyses to inform strategic priorities for Tilt Mexico.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve quality, reduce operational friction, and increase scalability across the Mexico business.
- Drive standardization and help to define best practices that can be shared across other business units (markets).
- Partner with functional leaders across Product, Credit, Marketing, Operations, and Capital Markets to identify bottlenecks, improve performance, launch new products, and drive execution against company goals.
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows, improve decision-making, and increase team leverage through AI and other technology-enabled solutions.
Requirements:
- 4–6+ years of experience in strategic finance, business operations, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or other analytically rigorous operating roles.
- Strong financial modeling skills: forecasting, scenario analysis, and ideally cohort/vintage-based credit modeling.
- Well versed in customer unit economics including CAC, LTV, ROAS, and other relevant metrics.
- Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive execution without a lot of hand-holding.
- Comfortable moving between the details of a model and a leadership-level recommendation in the same meeting.
- Hands-on with analytics tools; SQL proficiency or a real commitment to developing it; familiarity with AI tools and genuine curiosity about applying them operationally.
- High ownership mentality and comfort with ambiguity; the ability to independently layout and test clear hypotheses, and solve problems without well-defined direction.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to make decisions with imperfect information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish including the ability to tailor messages to a variety of audiences and skill in explaining complex topics to non-technical peers and partners.
Benefits:
- Virtual-first teamwork: The Tilt team is collaborating across 14 countries, 12 time zones, and counting. You’ll get started with a WFH office reimbursement.
- Competitive pay: We're big on potential, and it's reflected in our competitive compensation packages and generous equity.
- Complete support: Find flexible health plans at every premium level, and substantial subsidies that stand up to global standards.
- Visibility is yours: You can count on direct exposure to our leadership team — we’re a team where good ideas travel quickly.
- Paid global onsites: Magic happens IRL: we gather twice yearly to reconnect over shared meals or kayaking adventures. (We’ve visited Vail, San Diego, and Mexico City, to name a few.)
- Impact is recognized: Growth opportunities follow your contributions, not rigid promotion timelines.
