Job Description
Financial Clearance Representative securing payer authorizations for City of Hope’s cancer and diabetes services. Reviewing procedures, imaging, surgery, chemotherapy, and genomic medicine requests.
Responsibilities:
- Handle authorizations for medical services at City of Hope Chicago, Atlanta, and Phoenix
- Obtain accurate and timely payer decisions regarding authorizations for medical procedures, high-tech imaging services, surgical cases, personalized genomic medicine, technically advanced radiation therapy treatments, chemotherapy, and other procedures requiring authorization
- Approve, pend, or deny services for the patient population according to policy
Requirements:
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to provide clear and concise communication, both verbally and in writing
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9/10 diagnosis codes
- Strong knowledge of CPT codes
