Job Description
Financial Controller owning payments, reconciliations, billing, and month-end close for an AI-first property-management SaaS company. Based remotely in the Philippines and reporting directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day finance operations end to end while reporting directly to the CEO
- Process US contractor, US direct-employee, and vendor payments twice per month
- Own the financial side of Deel, including reviewing charges, monitoring tax communications, opening tickets, and escalating issues
- Process international contractor payment and onboarding/offboarding activities through Deel
- Review Ramp card charges daily and correct accounts, departments, subsidiaries, and tax coding
- Open and configure corporate cards in Ramp and NetSuite
- Prepare monthly card-allocation files and manage spend against limits
- Update Ramp bank information monthly
- Monitor payment status weekly and follow up on uncollected charges
- Reconcile Stripe to the books monthly and verify Stripe payouts against the bank
- Monitor the billing Slack channel for billing requests and transaction-processing requirements
- Review travel budgets and costs, approve charges and employee allocations, and flag overcharges or personal usage
- Prepare the Anthropic cost-allocation journal entry
- Revalue open balances across all entities monthly
- Reconcile revenue against Stripe and confirm VAT reporting
- Support month-end close in NetSuite, including correct department, account, entity, and tax coding
- Prepare end-of-month reporting and detailed client-revenue reconciliation and analysis in NetSuite and Excel
- Collaborate daily with the CEO, leadership team, and Israel-based bookkeeper
- Use Claude and other AI tools to draft, analyze, cross-check, accelerate, and automate finance workflows
- Build and refine prompts, lightweight scripts, and automations
- Review and validate AI output while retaining accountability for accuracy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification is required
- 2–5 years in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial-operations roles, ideally supporting US-based or multi-entity international companies
- Hands-on NetSuite experience strongly expected
- Familiarity with Ramp, Stripe, and Deel is a strong plus
- Solid grasp of multi-entity, multi-currency (USD / ILS) accounting, including journal entries, revaluation, and reconciliations
- Demonstrated practical use of AI or automation is required
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly for US-based and multi-entity financial operations
- SaaS industry experience is highly preferred, particularly subscription-based businesses and revenue models
- Advanced Excel skills are preferred
- Familiarity with Chase and experience handling US banking transactions are advantageous
- Ultra-tech-savvy, quick learner, rigorous with numbers and detail
- Excellent written-English communication skills
- Proactive and clear communication with internal leaders and external vendors
