Job Description

Fire Protection/Plumbing Engineer II role at DLB Associates involving design and collaboration on plumbing and fire protection projects for commercial buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior design staff to advance plumbing and fire protection design skills
  • Produce construction documents and develop project specifications
  • Assist in surveying existing building conditions and preparing technical reports
  • Work closely with project management team to complete projects efficiently
  • Utilize Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aids
  • Prepare project progress reports for stakeholders
  • Manage personal hours using company tools

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or fire protection engineering, with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals
  • Minimum of three years of mechanical or fire protection engineering experience
  • Knowledge of designing mechanical, fire protection and plumbing systems
  • Knowledge of codes, code analysis and specifications for mechanical, fire protection and plumbing systems
  • Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Skilled in performing and analyzing hydraulic calculations
  • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
