Job Description
Fire Protection/Plumbing Engineer II role at DLB Associates involving design and collaboration on plumbing and fire protection projects for commercial buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior design staff to advance plumbing and fire protection design skills
- Produce construction documents and develop project specifications
- Assist in surveying existing building conditions and preparing technical reports
- Work closely with project management team to complete projects efficiently
- Utilize Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aids
- Prepare project progress reports for stakeholders
- Manage personal hours using company tools
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or fire protection engineering, with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals
- Minimum of three years of mechanical or fire protection engineering experience
- Knowledge of designing mechanical, fire protection and plumbing systems
- Knowledge of codes, code analysis and specifications for mechanical, fire protection and plumbing systems
- Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Skilled in performing and analyzing hydraulic calculations
- Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
