Job Description
Temporary remote customer service coverage for medical practices, supporting scheduling, insurance, referrals, and EMR workflows. Adapting rapidly to different U.S. medical office systems and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide temporary administrative coverage to different medical practices when staffing gaps occur
- Quickly adapt to different providers, workflows, software systems, and operational protocols
- Follow appointment scheduling rules and provider preferences
- Support insurance workflows, referral processes, and prior authorization procedures
- Follow patient communication protocols, telephone scripts, and escalation procedures
- Maintain internal documentation standards
- Navigate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Review and follow client-specific documentation, SOPs, operational guides, and daily checklists
- Receive accelerated onboarding for each new assignment
- Review client documentation and provide temporary coverage until the assigned employee returns
Requirements:
- Only LATAM-based candidates
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- 1–3 years of work experience
- Must have your own device and headset
- High-speed internet connection of at least 100 MB
- Previous experience working with U.S.-based medical offices
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to quickly adapt to different medical practices, providers, workflows, and operational protocols
- Ability to continuously learn and transition between different client environments
- Ability to learn and navigate different EMR systems and software platforms
- Ability to understand and follow scheduling rules, insurance workflows, referral processes, prior authorization procedures, and patient communication protocols
- Ability to follow telephone scripts, escalation procedures, and internal documentation standards
- Ability to review and follow SOPs, operational guides, and daily checklists
- Ability to work effectively following an accelerated onboarding process
- Previous experience with medical offices is preferred
- Familiarity with Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Nextech, HealthArc, EMA, or other proprietary systems
