Job Description
Flutter Tech Lead owning mobile architecture and performance for GR8_TECH, which builds B2B iGaming platforms. Leading Flutter delivery, security, CI/CD, incident response, and engineering mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Own high-level mobile system architecture and define patterns for stable, modular, and fast mobile apps
- Translate business goals into technical blueprints and make system trade-off decisions
- Establish engineering benchmarks for app startup times, memory footprint, and frame rates
- Evaluate mobile technologies, frameworks, and tools for complex scale problems
- Design and execute migration strategies, including native add-to-app integrations
- Define and enforce security baselines, including certificate pinning, obfuscation, and anti-tampering logic
- Contribute hands-on code to critical systems and core framework libraries
- Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for high-severity mobile production issues
- Optimize app performance, including UI/raster jank, memory leaks, and CPU-heavy operations using Dart Isolates
- Partner with Product Managers, Heads of Streams, and Team Leads on technical roadmaps and release schedules
- Standardize CI/CD pipelines, fastlane release automation, and app-store submission processes
- Align architectural patterns across cross-functional streams
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and run code reviews
- Support Team Leads with technical Personal Development Plans for mobile engineers
- Drive engineering culture through technical write-ups, architecture reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
Requirements:
- 7+ years in commercial software development
- 3+ years dedicated to Flutter/Dart
- Hands-on experience in native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin)
- Strong system design and architectural thinking
- Deep mastery of Dart internals, including isolates, async, and null safety
- Deep mastery of Flutter's rendering pipeline
- Understanding of state management with Bloc or Riverpod
- Experience with unit, widget, and integration testing
- Experience with monorepos using Melos
- Ability to balance technical quality and delivery speed
- Experience with high-frequency real-time data handling, WebSockets, long-lived connections, and protobuf/JSON serialization
- Knowledge of mobile security standards
- Effective technical communication across engineering and non-engineering stakeholders
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Delivery, and Ops
- Experience guiding engineers through code reviews, technical roadmaps, and personal development planning
