Job Description

Founding Account Executive building Brightwheel’s education-product sales engine. Creating pipeline, closing early customers, and shaping repeatable go-to-market playbooks.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and continuously refine the go-to-market motion for education products, including target customers, buyer personas, positioning, messaging, qualification, and sales process
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through demonstration, proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Build trusted relationships with education leaders and key decision-makers
  • Create and grow pipeline through outbound prospecting, relationships, referrals, events, and experimentation
  • Identify repeatable pipeline-generation approaches and turn learnings into scalable practices
  • Develop deep expertise in education leaders, their challenges, buying processes, and priorities
  • Analyze customer conversations to identify patterns and understand where the company wins and why
  • Provide structured market insights from prospects, customers, wins, losses, and objections to Product, Marketing, and leadership
  • Influence product roadmap and go-to-market strategy
  • Establish sales-excellence standards and create processes, messaging, collateral, and playbooks for future sellers

Requirements:

  • Experience creating pipeline, developing new markets or segments, launching new products, or establishing a sales motion without a mature playbook
  • Demonstrated ability to generate meaningful opportunities through self-prospecting without relying exclusively on inbound demand or SDR support
  • Experience thriving in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Resourcefulness, learning agility, feedback-seeking, experimentation, and ownership of results
  • Exceptional discovery and communication skills
  • Ability to uncover complex customer problems and synthesize customer feedback
  • Ability to articulate compelling value propositions and establish credibility with senior leaders
  • Ability to identify patterns across prospects and deals and translate learnings into recommendations
  • Experience selling into education is valuable but not required
  • Entrepreneurial builder mentality and exceptional sales fundamentals

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Flexible PTO
  • Local retirement or savings plans, including 401(k) in the U.S.
  • Pay equity commitment
  • Distributed/remote work environment
