Job Description

AI-Enabled Full Stack Engineer developing AI-powered educator tools for early childhood education. Collaborating closely with product and owning fullstack deliveries in a remote role.

Responsibilities:

  • Build AI-powered educator tools: Develop features like smart classroom insights, behavior coaching strategies, leadership hubs, and real-time support tools for teachers and directors
  • Work with structured LLM outputs: Design and maintain chained generation pipelines where each AI output feeds into the next
  • Ship fullstack features end-to-end: From database schema to API endpoint to React UI — you own it all
  • Architect for multi-tenancy: Build and improve a SaaS platform that serves multiple schools with proper data isolation
  • Collaborate with Product: Work directly with the AI Product Manager to refine requirements, propose solutions, and iterate quickly

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong experience with Python and Next.js (or React + TypeScript)
  • Basic knowledge of cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred)
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools — personal projects, side experiments, or tinkering absolutely count
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
  • Comfortable working autonomously with loose requirements and iterating over time
  • Ability to deliver without a final design and adjust later.

Benefits:

  • Ownership & autonomy: You won't be micromanaged. They trust you to make decisions, take initiative, and drive things forward — even when it's "not your job."
  • Mission-driven: They're building technology that directly impacts early childhood educators and the children they serve. The work matters.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: Requirements evolve. Designs come later. They move, learn, iterate, and improve. If you need everything defined before you start, this isn't the right fit.
  • Supportive & human: They keep egos out of the workplace. They support each other, embrace their differences, and understand that each person brings their own unique strengths to the table.
  • Growth mindset: They look to magnify strengths, take chances, and always learn from mistakes.
