Job Description
Full Stack Developer at Speer Technologies responsible for building scalable web and mobile applications. Collaborating with a team of engineers in a startup environment based in Toronto.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable web and mobile applications
- Develop and implement low-latency, highly performant server-side components
- Work closely with frontend developers and UX/UI designers
- Maintain high personal code standards through peer reviews, unit testing
- Implement effective security protocols and data protection measures
- Proactively identify and resolve defects
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to plan and execute sprints
- Navigate ambiguous, fast-moving technical challenges
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript
- Experience with Node.js, Express.js, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of core computer science concepts
- Strong skills writing testable, maintainable code
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Familiarity integrating with external APIs and SDKs
- Comfortable working independently in a startup environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
