Job Description
Leitung des Cloud-Engineering-Competence-Centers bei Axians Schweiz, einem Anbieter digitaler Transformation und Managed IT-Services. Führung des Teams sowie Weiterentwicklung von Cloud-Services, Standards und Kundenplattformen.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the Cloud Engineering Competence Center
- Disciplinary and professional leadership of the Cloud Engineering team of 7 employees
- Coaching, performance reviews, employee development, and HR reporting
- Responsibility for recruitment as well as strategic workforce, capacity, and resource planning
- Foster a high-performing engineering culture with a strong service and customer focus
- Further develop the service and performance portfolio in collaboration with the Business Line
- Ensure sustainable knowledge and competence management within the team
- Define, establish, and enforce professional and methodological standards and best practices
- Promote innovation and identify new technologies and market trends
- Ensure compliance with Axians Somnitec AG’s normative, regulatory, and strategic requirements
- Contribute to budget planning, investment decisions, and the strategic development of the area of responsibility
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and organization-wide knowledge sharing
- Manage escalations involving complex technical or organizational challenges
- Continuously develop processes, policies, and governance models
- Actively contribute to technical solution approaches and act as a sparring partner on challenging projects
- Ensure the reliable operation, continuous development, and innovation of customer platforms
Requirements:
- Several years of leadership and hands-on experience in an engineering or infrastructure environment
- Industry experience in IT, ideally in a managed services environment
- Completed higher-level professional education (HF/FH) in computer science or an equivalent qualification
- In-depth understanding of modern cloud, platform, and infrastructure services
- Experience leading and developing technical teams and specialist functions
- Experience in knowledge, competence, and talent management is an advantage
- Demonstrated experience leading technical specialists
- Strong affinity for standardization, quality management, and automation
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken
- Broad-minded, strategic, and entrepreneurial thinking
- Demonstrated ownership and a reliable ability to build trust
- Willingness to lead by example in living the company’s values, standards, and expectations
- Ability to develop employees and foster a sense of ownership
- Ability to address conflicts openly, make clear decisions, and implement them consistently
