Job Description

Healthcare Advisory Manager guiding Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting and reimbursement consulting. Managing staff, developing analyses, and supporting Citrin Cooperman’s healthcare advisory growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing and supervising Medicare and Medicaid cost report engagements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements
  • Provide Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement, operational, and strategic consulting services to client leadership
  • Maintain strong communication between internal engagement leaders and client staff and leadership
  • Monitor the team's use of internal procedures, processes, and controls
  • Manage onshore and offshore staff performing reimbursement and cost reporting services, technical accounting activities, and data synthesis for client reports or analyses
  • Advise and assist with technical accounting, cost reporting, and reimbursement decisions
  • Develop models and analyses for client requests
  • Encourage ongoing improvement of internal operations and assist in developing internal templates for process, technology, and structural improvements
  • Assist in business development pursuits supporting the growth of the healthcare advisory practice

Requirements:

  • Experienced Level
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and ability to develop trusted relationships in person, by phone, and in writing
  • Proven experience preparing, reviewing, and supervising Medicaid and Medicare cost report engagements for skilled nursing facilities and/or ICF/IID
  • Experience with home health, hospice, and home office is a plus
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement, cost reporting theory, and healthcare advisory consulting services
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes, including GAAP
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience with Caseware and Health Financial Systems or similar Medicare cost report software preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and stay well-organized
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field is preferred
  • Professional certification such as CPA is a plus
