Job Description

Remote Hospice Account Executive growing referrals and provider partnerships for Traditions Health’s end-of-life care programs. Educating patients, families, and healthcare communities across an assigned territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop business partnerships through effective sales contacts, calls, and presentations
  • Grow and promote hospice programs and services while maintaining quality end-of-life care standards
  • Develop referral growth across the assigned territory, including facilities, physicians, care-at-home providers, and community agencies
  • Build relationships with targeted referral sources and communicate new products, programs, and service delivery information
  • Meet with patients and families to discuss home care services and individual needs
  • Liaise with physicians, facility nurses, social workers, discharge planners, community agencies, referral partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate quarterly and annual territory plans
  • Maintain customer and competitor profiles, call activity logs, and follow-up plans
  • Participate in marketing and community education events, including physician calls, lunch-and-learns, health fairs, speaker’s bureau, and CEU programs
  • Prepare monthly referral-source tracking reports and communicate marketplace changes
  • Promote timely, high-quality care for patients and caregivers with life-limiting illnesses
  • Provide counsel regarding community needs and program development, including financial viability
  • Communicate with attending, hospice, and other physicians involved in patient care
  • Submit required paperwork on time
  • Promote hospice philosophy and administrative policies
  • Meet productivity standards and perform other duties assigned by leadership

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in hospice sales or a related industry
  • Proven record of achieving incremental growth in direct sales
  • Experience delivering high-quality outcomes and growth
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs for communications, presentations, database tracking/reporting, and spreadsheets
  • Proficiency in using a CRM solution is preferred
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Self-directed and able to work with little supervision
  • Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, coworkers, and visitors
  • Ability to comply with local, state, and federal laws relating to agency operations
