Job Description

HVDC Site Commissioning Manager responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of HVDC Converter Stations. Leading international commissioning teams to support energy transition projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of large-scale international HVDC Converter Stations.
  • Lead Commissioning activities directly on site with an international team of Commissioning Engineers.
  • Report within the project to the overall HVDC Commissioning Manager.
  • Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are planned and carried out in compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Liaise with Engineering and PM team for timely issuance of data required for preparation of commissioning site works.
  • Prepare the Commissioning Schedule for the HVDC Converter Station in alignment with the consortium partner for the platform manufacturing.
  • Be part of a team to prepare Commissioning documentation like ITPs & Checklists and setup a Completion Management System.
  • Contribute as part of the Commissioning Team to Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure that systems delivered to site with the right quality.

Requirements:

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
  • Knowledge and minimum several years of experience in Commissioning of substations, Power Plants or HVDC Systems.
  • Fluent in English; German language or additional language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work on construction sites and optional assignments on offshore platforms.
