Job Description
Senior Ignition Software Engineer leading MES, IIoT, reporting, and custom software projects. Delivering industrial information solutions for manufacturing clients across the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop client projects across multiple industry sectors focused on Information Solutions
- Deliver projects involving MES, custom software, reporting, IIoT, data collection, and analytics
- Execute technical projects while maintaining deliverables, schedules, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Interface with clients to define and manage scope on complex projects
- Plan project timelines and coordinate with Project Managers
- Apply firm-wide Design Group standards and procedures
- Participate in councils overseeing and adopting firm-wide standards
- Drive projects to completion and support technical direction and execution
- Develop and maintain relationships with key client contacts
- Provide technical leadership to newer professionals
- Help drive the Information Solutions group’s technical capability and growth
- Travel for project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company-sponsored meetings, trainings, seminars, forums, and conventions as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of experience developing and providing software solutions for consumer products, life science and/or industrial industries
- Experience architecting and implementing MES and data collection/reporting systems across various platforms
- Strong preference for experience with Ignition, Sepasoft, or custom MES/database development
- Prior experience as a system integrator is a plus
- Experience developing in Python, SQL, JavaScript, and Java is a plus
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Git version control, or Figma is a plus
- Strong record of successful client interface
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors
- Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements
- Minimum B.S. in Engineering field is preferred; consideration given to other computer or software degrees based on actual experience
