Responsibilities:

  • Own the Innovation Program's end-to-end idea intake, scoring, portfolio tracking, and daily operations
  • Evaluate submissions for technical feasibility, AEC/MEP relevance, business value, effort, strategic fit, and broader adoption potential
  • Maintain a prioritized portfolio of submissions, investigations, proofs of concept, active development efforts, awards, adoption decisions, and closed items
  • Make and document decisions to advance, redirect, pause, consolidate, return, or decline ideas
  • Lead recurring Innovation meetings, set agendas, facilitate decisions, document outcomes, and track action items
  • Partner with the Operations & Innovation Program Specialist on records, metrics, logistics, communications, awards, and portfolio tracking
  • Administer the award workflow and track approvals through completion
  • Use Revit and AEC expertise to assess MEP workflows, families, templates, shared parameters, add-ins, automation concepts, and design-technology practices
  • Conduct structured investigation meetings with submitters and translate findings into decision-ready recommendations
  • Engage software engineering, product, AI, automation, data, and other subject-matter experts when needed
  • Steward portfolio health, quality, throughput, and strategic alignment across affiliate companies
  • Identify duplicate efforts, overlapping submissions, recurring Revit/MEP pain points, automation opportunities, and internal-tool needs
  • Guide ideas toward proof of concept, limited pilot, further investigation, formal development, or enterprise-supported adoption
  • Coordinate ownership, documentation, support expectations, and transition planning for adopted solutions
  • Prepare and deliver polished monthly Innovation updates for leadership and staff
  • Facilitate live discussions, manage questions, and communicate decisions, wins, lessons learned, and portfolio themes
  • Recommend and lead improvements to rubrics, investigation frameworks, decision records, portfolio taxonomy, adoption criteria, and lifecycle workflows
  • Lead design and rollout of a unified application or automated workflow for the idea lifecycle
  • Establish program measures covering portfolio health, decision timeliness, participation, proof-of-concept progress, consolidation opportunities, and enterprise adoption
  • Build a trusted partnership with the Operations & Innovation Program Specialist and review outcomes across the full pipeline

Requirements:

  • Substantial hands-on Revit/AEC design or BIM experience
  • Working knowledge of Revit families, templates, shared parameters, add-ins, and automation concepts
  • Ability to evaluate technical or process-improvement ideas for feasibility, effort, value, adoption potential, and strategic fit
  • Experience owning a program, portfolio, review process, or cross-functional pipeline
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and make sound disposition decisions
  • Strong facilitation skills, including agenda setting, structured discussion, decision documentation, and action-item follow-through
  • Clear and efficient written and verbal communication
  • Ability to create executive-level presentations and speak confidently to leadership and broad employee audiences
  • Experience reviewing software applications, scripts, databases, integrations, or technical solution designs
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles, product management, application support, or transition from prototype to enterprise ownership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Comfort with Microsoft Lists or Power Automate
  • Experience identifying duplicate technology efforts and guiding reuse, consolidation, or shared solutions
  • Experience running internal innovation, continuous-improvement, citizen-development, design-technology, or recognition programs
  • Process-improvement mindset with a record of carrying improvements through implementation
  • Experience partnering with a support-level teammate while providing functional direction without formal people-management authority
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Building/Construction Technology, or equivalent experience preferred; equivalent AEC industry experience and Revit expertise may substitute for formal education
