Job Description
Part-time Acxiom data science intern supporting automotive customer insights through visualization, statistical modeling, and audience development. Building and optimizing data solutions for marketing analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Support data-driven storytelling initiatives across the tower, focusing first on GM
- Leverage Acxiom data and partner data from Equifax, Polk, and Commerce Signals to develop high-value audiences and other models
- Help coordinate and prepare activities to build, test, and improve data solutions
- Apply statistical modeling algorithms to improve existing product performance and quality
- Build, evaluate, and optimize models
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business and insight goals
- Collaborate with data scientists and team leads to define data sources, patterns, requirements, and implementation
- Work with the account team to transition development projects to production systems
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Business
- Coursework in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Math, or related degree programs
- Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
- Basic to moderate SQL experience to model and identify patterns
- Experience with applying statistics and data science tools on datasets
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
- Ability to read and understand Java logs and XML to identify issues
- Familiarity with data platforms, analytics, and visualization solutions such as Google Cloud Platform, Google Analytics, Tableau, and Looker preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software is a plus
- Ability to leverage critical data-driven thinking and translate data into actionable insight
- Ability to balance quantitative rigor with inconsistent business data
- Attention to detail and time management while delivering high-quality work across multiple projects and meeting deadlines
