Job Description
Junior Solutions Engineer supporting Trellix’s cybersecurity sales with technical discovery, demonstrations, and proofs of value. Partnering with sales, support, and product teams.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with commercial and enterprise sales teams and senior engineers during client calls and visits
- Qualify technical requirements and present solution capabilities
- Discover customer business needs and map security challenges to solution use cases
- Deliver technical demonstrations and assist with solution proposals
- Contribute to technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires
- Help manage and execute proof-of-value activities against customer evaluation criteria
- Build rapport with technical contacts and help address technical inquiries alongside Support
- Identify expansion opportunities
- Support technical setup and demonstrations for Executive Briefings, customer beta programs, and early adopter initiatives
- Participate in presales enablement, stay current on security trends, and share customer insights with Product teams
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, presales support, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or technical support
- Foundational knowledge in one or more of: Cloud & Virtualization Security; Data Protection & Data Loss Prevention (DLP); Network Security, Web Proxies, or SD-WAN; Workload & Container Security
- Relevant introductory or intermediate certifications preferred, such as Security+, Network+, AWS/Azure Fundamentals, CCNA, or vendor security certifications
- Strong verbal and written presentation skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and business audiences
- Precision in capturing technical requirements
- Ability to assist with accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) creation
- Strong curiosity, high coachability, and drive to expand cybersecurity and presales skills
