Job Description
Key Account Manager growing strategic customer sales for Adventure Ready Brands, a consumer-products company. Owning account plans, negotiations, forecasts, and cross-functional execution.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute account plans to deliver sales forecasts and achieve territory revenue and profitability goals
- Own and grow sales across assigned Key Accounts, focusing on revenue, profitability, and long-term customer growth
- Build and execute strategic account plans to identify opportunities, expand product assortment, develop new business, and achieve sales goals
- Build strong customer relationships and serve as a trusted partner to key decision-makers
- Partner with the CCO, Marketing, Rep Groups, and internal teams to develop and execute customer strategies and programs
- Lead and hold Rep Groups and independent sales agencies accountable for account plans, company priorities, and results
- Monitor account performance, forecast sales, and use customer and market data to identify opportunities, risks, and trends
- Coordinate customer needs from opportunity through execution with internal teams to solve problems and deliver results
- Negotiate and manage customer and agency agreements, pricing, programs, and terms
- Lead customer meetings, sales presentations, trade shows, and other account-growth activities
- Stay current on customers, products, competitors, and industry trends to identify opportunities and inform strategy
- Provide leadership and direction to assigned E-Commerce, Industrial, Promotional, and Inside Sales teams
- Contribute to annual sales planning, forecasting, and broader sales strategy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing and growing Key Accounts, preferably in consumer products, CPG, retail, or a related industry
- Track record of achieving sales goals and growing revenue, profitability, or customer relationships
- Strong business acumen, forecasting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence customers, Rep Groups, and internal teams
- Experience managing and holding independent Rep Groups or agencies accountable
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable making independent decisions
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 40–50%
