Job Description
Lead Analytics Engineer building Snowflake pipelines, models, and BI for ComputerCare’s IT hardware services. Automating operational reporting and establishing trusted metrics across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Own, maintain, optimize, and scale the Snowflake data warehouse, transformation layer, and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Build and operate reliable ingestion integrations from NetSuite, Jira/service platforms, and custom applications
- Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and ensure accurate, reliable data delivery
- Own the BI layer, currently utilizing HEX, and evaluate or migrate to Tableau or Looker as the company scales
- Partner with the COO to translate operational goals into data models, dashboards, and actionable insights
- Establish metric definitions, documentation, testing, data-quality standards, and maintain the metric dictionary
- Communicate when data is incomplete or should not be relied upon
- Automate recurring operational reporting, ad hoc analysis, SLA reporting, and client review data
- Experiment with new tools and models to improve problem-solving
- Serve as the primary data consultant for operations, finance, and engineering leaders
- Translate operational challenges into data models and automated dashboards
- Work across data engineering and data analytics, including pipeline building, data modeling, BI, dashboards, and data storytelling
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience across analytics engineering, data engineering, or analytics
- Meaningful experience building data models and pipelines that others depend on
- Experience as the first or only data practitioner strongly preferred
- Strong, hands-on experience with Snowflake, including architecture, performance tuning, and optimization
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience with integration/ETL tools such as Celigo, Fivetran, dbt, or custom API scripting highly valued
- Experience building impactful dashboards
- Familiarity with HEX is a major plus
- Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker required
- Experience working with data from ERPs such as NetSuite, project management tools such as Jira, and custom web applications
- Ability to operate with limited structure, identify high-value analytics work, set priorities, and deliver from problem definition through completion
