Job Description
Lead DevOps Engineer building React/.NET applications and Kubernetes automation for Fifth Third Bank. Resolving deployments, guiding agile engineering, and improving operational reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software solutions using React and .Net
- Design and develop DevOps solutions using Jenkins, Ansible, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes toolsets, and Fifth Third-developed solutions
- Interact directly with customers to understand and resolve level 3 deployment, configuration, and architecture issues
- Train and share knowledge with the third-party operations team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and project specifications
- Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards and best practices
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members
- Design and implement new features while continuously improving technical products and applications
- Provide technical knowledge and leadership as a DevOps Engineer on an agile squad
- Define system architectures and design solutions with software engineers
- Develop software meeting code quality standards and automation metrics
- Practice test-driven development
- Participate in communities of practice through standards contributions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Automate processes and write maintainable, supportable, and testable code
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to improve services
- Assist with problem resolution for end users and customers
- Contribute to operational procedures for software development
- Maintain controls and documentation for audit compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Six+ years of engineering or other IT work experience relevant to the position
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead with expertise in DevOps methodologies and toolsets
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead with expertise in React, Angular, and Node.js
- Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, and .Net development
- Familiarity with RESTful networking
- Prior experience with Git and GitHub
- Understanding of software development methodologies
- Understanding of security best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
