Job Description

Lead Software Engineer at Lennar designing, developing, and deploying software applications. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing software engineering processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements
  • Promote a collaborative team environment
  • Responsible for planning work estimation and forecasting
  • Investigate and propose solutions to development problems
  • Conduct analysis to determine integration needs
  • Prepare technical documentation
  • Write high-quality code
  • Implement unit and integration tests
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborative programming
  • Develop reusable software building blocks
  • Improve performance of existing software
  • Manage and mentor software engineers
  • Lead full-stack delivery across Python and FastAPI backend services and TypeScript and React frontend applications
  • Direct AI coding agents to accelerate development while ensuring code quality

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in computer science and 5+ years of experience with web technology stack, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent and 7+ years of experience with web technology stack
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven track record for managing a team of developers
  • Proven track record for architecting, scaling and implementing complex technical solutions
  • Leadership experience in Agile environments
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript (7+ years)
  • High proficiency in React.js (5+ years)
  • Strong command of semantic HTML and modern CSS
  • Proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL
  • Knowledge in CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and package managers
  • Demonstrated use of AI coding agents with strong judgment
