Job Description

Litigation case management specialist supporting legal matters at Lilly, a global life sciences company developing life-changing medicines. Managing discovery, budgets, eDiscovery, and counsel collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal case management support for assigned litigation and related workstreams, including onsite support when necessary
  • Establish, manage, and implement Litigation Case Management Team protocols, processes, and procedures
  • Incorporate evolving best practices while complying with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Support implementation and utilization of litigation support tools
  • Develop relationships across Lilly and with outside counsel
  • Attend legal, team, and matter-specific meetings and contribute to decision-making
  • Review and process legal invoices and monitor matter information and budgets with Lilly counsel
  • Generate reports and metrics for assigned matters
  • Collaborate with Lilly counsel, external counsel, and the Lilly e-discovery team on matter strategy and discovery plans
  • Share insights cross-functionally and support cross-team projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 7 years of paralegal (or similar) experience in private practice or in pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas
  • Experience managing complex litigation and government investigations from pre-litigation through trial/appeal
  • Experience handling complex discovery, including legal holds and document collection, organization, and production
  • Experience utilizing AI tools to automate legal support processes
  • Experience with legal matter management, eDiscovery, and document management platforms
  • Demonstrated good judgment and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across company groups and levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of identifying issues and driving solutions
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Demonstrated understanding of state and federal Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Experience with risk and crisis management
  • Some travel may be required
