Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Join the development team, taking on work items for development in each Sprint.
- Perform development-related activities such as analysis and design, programming, testing, and requirements.
- Manage your own work, promptly notifying the team of any delays or other impediments.
Requirements:
- Proactivity, teamwork, self-management and decision-making skills, strong communication skills (ability to express oneself clearly and accurately orally and in writing, and to easily understand written and spoken messages), strong investigative skills and ability to solve complex problems, abstraction capability, and the ability to understand how information systems operate based on experimentation/observation.
- Principles and practices of agile software development, including the Agile Manifesto, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and Kanban.
- Analysis of functional, non-functional, and agile requirements.
- Familiarity with tools used for testing and automating COBOL tests.
- Programming skills in Enterprise COBOL 4.0 or higher.
- Knowledge of the IBM platform (z/OS, DB2, CICS, JCL, TSO, MainView, Strobe, and Control-M).
- Experience working as an analyst on Mainframe platforms.
- Knowledge of relational database modeling and database performance analysis.
- Knowledge of VSAM data files.
- Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Knowledge of code quality and mainframe application performance analysis.
- Experience using CICS access interfaces, CICS/WEB, Broker, and MQ Series.
- Software testing: unit testing, integration testing, system/functional testing, acceptance/story testing, load testing, performance testing, vulnerability testing, usability, and accessibility. Automation of functional, unit, and load tests using software tools.
- Concepts of source code version control and use of related tools.
- Knowledge and experience in Configuration and Change Management discipline.
- Design patterns and programming best practices.
- Experience using IBM tools (z/OS, DB2, RDZ, Omegamon, CICS IA, MainView), Eccox (QC-Cobol and QC-DB2), Computer Associates (CA SCM and CA GEN), Compuware (Abend-AID, Xpediter, File-AID and Strobe), BMC (Control-M) or equivalents.
- Systems integration: Messaging, JMS, Web services, Service Bus (WebSphere Message Broker), REST, EJB 3.
