Job Description
Manager of Collections Risk overseeing early-stage collections teams for operational efficiency. Driving strategies to integrate AI and automate processes within financial services.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and optimizing early-stage collections teams across multiple lines of business
- Setting collection strategies that prioritize volume, efficiency, and risk-appropriate resolution
- Proactively identifying and embracing opportunities to integrate AI and automation technologies into operational processes
- Defining, documenting, and trending individual and team Key Performance and Key Risk Indicators
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure productive collaboration
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 4+ years of progressive management experience in risk and/or operational functions
- Ability to create and monitor Key Performance Metrics
- Advanced knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Strong understanding of invoicing, billing, customer statements and statement reconciliation processes
- Proven experience managing distressed customers and achieving recovery objectives.
- Ability to leverage analytical abilities to make data-driven decisions
- Demonstrated knowledge of process and productivity measurements
