Job Description
Software engineering manager leading teams and complex software projects at Lennar, a major U.S. homebuilder. Driving architecture, delivery, quality, and engineering talent development.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of mid to senior-level software engineers and provide guidance on complex technical challenges
- Lead the planning, development, and delivery of multiple software projects
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software development efforts with business objectives
- Drive continuous improvement in software development practices, including code quality, testing, and deployment
- Conduct regular performance evaluations
- Support team members in career development
- Assist in strategic planning for the software engineering department, including resource allocation and technology investments
- Mentor and develop engineering talent
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- At least 2+ years in a management or leadership role
- Expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies
- Strong project management skills and experience managing complex software projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to make data-driven decisions
- Ability to operate computer equipment
- Ability to speak and hear
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs
- Finger dexterity
- Experience with GoLang, Flutter, AWS, Postgres, MCP built on FastMCP, and AgentCore Runtime
