Job Description

Proposals Manager overseeing clinical study quotation quality, pricing, and submissions. Mentoring proposal teams at LabConnect, which advances clinical trials through innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the clinical study quote submission process and timelines for assigned team tasks
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and training to Proposal Management team members
  • Perform quality and financial reviews of quotations using company pricing tools and matrices
  • Make pricing recommendations aligned with company financial goals and organizational priorities
  • Participate in strategy and budget review calls
  • Monitor pricing practices for accuracy and relevance to study types and operational processes
  • Make strategic recommendations on desirable proposals based on financial and operational criteria
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to improve bid submission quality and timeliness
  • Follow up with Business Development Directors to ensure clinical study quotes are complete and meet their needs
  • Assist with Business Development presentations when requested
  • Update the CRM database and ensure departmental information accuracy
  • Act as an expert resource to internal and external customers
  • Participate in Proposals initiatives
  • Assist with departmental reports
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in science, business, or marketing related discipline
  • 5 years customer service or related experience
  • Minimum of 1 or more years in a supervisory role
  • Experience in a contract research and/or research setting preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
  • Ability to perform calculations and manage budgets
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to budget management for clinical trials
  • Ability to manage a team of Proposal Managers and Associates
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or clinical research protocols
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from colleagues and clients
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with limited standardization
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint
  • Aptitude for learning new database software quickly
  • Salesforce and SharePoint experience preferred
  • Minimal travel required
