Job Description
Online Mandarin Chinese tutor teaching Portland students through TeachMe.To’s peer-to-peer lessons marketplace. Delivering personalized video lessons while setting your own schedule and rates.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one Mandarin Chinese sessions over video tailored to each student's goals, level, and learning style
- Help students build speaking confidence through guided conversation and pronunciation practice
- Strengthen grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension with level-appropriate lessons
- Track student growth, assign practice, and maintain motivation between sessions
Requirements:
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring Mandarin Chinese
- Reliable internet connection
- Quiet space for online video lessons
- Excellent communication skills to engage, motivate, and effectively teach students of all levels
