Job Description
Senior ACT tutor delivering individualized remote test preparation for grades 9–12. Developing lesson plans and practice tests through TPAPT, a national tutoring consortium.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction and test preparation for ACT students
- Develop customized lesson plans and practice tests tailored to each student's needs
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Utilize effective teaching methods to build students' confidence and test-taking skills
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with all client interactions
- Provide remote 1:1 tutoring for the ACT admissions test
Requirements:
- Proven success with high scores on either/both SAT or/and ACT
- 5-20 hours per week of availability
- A minimum of 3 years of experience tutoring or teaching the full ACT test in a paid capacity
- Strong understanding of ACT format, content, and test-taking strategies
- Earned Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized institution
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for education and commitment to student achievement
- Flexible availability to meet the needs of students
- Resume must highlight familiarity with the ACT and include all past tutoring experience in a paid capacity
