Job Description
Master Clinical Application Analyst supporting UAMS Epic Beacon applications. Leading system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, integrations, and clinical IT projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support EMR Services and primarily the Beacon application with little to no supervision
- Supervise and participate in system build, testing, implementation support, and maintenance of assigned Epic applications
- Ensure service level agreements and deadlines are met
- Communicate team performance to upper management and provide feedback on team member evaluations
- Perform in-depth analysis, troubleshooting, data collection, and root cause analysis
- Analyze and test product releases and communicate required operational changes
- Document, follow, and enforce system change control procedures
- Coordinate analysts, system vendors, and operations to maintain system integrity and meet business needs
- Research, analyze, facilitate, and implement business and system workflows for process improvement
- Identify best practices and implement standardization opportunities
- Prepare activity and other reports
- Provide on-call application support
- Provide procedural and technical guidance and supervision to team members
- Lead configuration, maintenance, testing, optimization, integrations, security, and production changes
- Lead and support IT projects, implementations, upgrades, requirements gathering, documentation, and deployment
- Develop system documentation, training materials, reports, audit trails, change controls, and business continuity procedures
- Support project cost analysis, estimates, budget validation, and fiscal or metric-related activities
- Maintain certifications and stay current with industry, regulatory, and technology changes
Requirements:
- Master's degree in computer science, nursing, or a related healthcare field plus four (4) years of experience in application systems development and testing, including at least two (2) years in a healthcare delivery system and one (1) year managing a process and/or application; or
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, nursing, or a related healthcare field plus six (6) years of the specified experience; or
- Associate's degree in computer science, nursing, or a related healthcare field plus eight (8) years of the specified experience; or
- High School diploma/GED plus ten (10) years of the specified experience
- Required Epic Beacon certification
- Must be certified in accordance with the IT Epic Certification Policy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional software suite
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
- At least two years in a leading role with teams or projects preferred
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB screening and criminal background check
